Polar Regions of the world offer many superlatives and extremes - extreme weather, vast distances, dynamic oceans - and the reality of extremely high costs to do most anything. Polar Flight 90, throughout its planning stages - and execution to 80 Degrees n North/86 Degrees West, during April 2011 - incurred major budget expenditures. Safety must be the primary objective; so, with a storm approaching the North Pole during the last week of April 2011, I had no choice but to retreat - and once again persevere with plans for Polar Flight 90 in April of 2012.
Your help is needed, and appreciated.
As a gesture of my appreciation, I will once again add the names or stickers of supporters - individuals or institutions - to the underside of the Polar Pumpkin wings.
